Situated on the charming and secure Prince's Grant Golf Estate, 30 minutes north of Ballito, on the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast of South Africa, Sea-for-Africa is the ideal place to stay, whether you are looking for a golfing holiday, beach holiday, spending time with the kids, or just looking to re-charge your batteries.
Early mornings can be spent on the upper deck, watching the sun rise over the ocean, where you are bound to see the dolphins at play on their morning frolic up the coast. During the day, if you're not going down to the beach, or trying your luck on the golf course, there are a number of other options on the Estate such as canoeing, birding, swimming or playing tennis, squash, soccer or volleyball.
If you want to slow down a bit, you could challenge your guests to pool in the downstairs games-room. Late afternoon is an ideal time to get the braai started, and the sliding-door access to the kitchen ensures that whoever is preparing the salads can keep an eye on those braaiing the meat.
Once the plates have been cleared after dinner, the dining-room table provides the ideal battleground for a "board-game challenge" while those not so inclined can yield to the mesmerizing pull of the ocean's call and retire to the deck or simply relax in front of the TV downstairs.
The open plan lounge-dining-room-kitchen area with its unlimited 180 degrees viewing access of the ocean gives the house its name: "Sea-for-Africa". A large sliding door open up to the upper balcony or deck from where dolphins and whales are often seen.
Downstairs is a spacious DSTV-enabled entertainment area with a pool-table and 3 sleeper-couches. The room has a large sliding door which opens up to the lower balcony or deck. Whilst the ocean is still visible from this deck, you are now closer to the beautiful natural vegetation of the KZN North coast.
There are 4 en-suite bedrooms, three of which offer stunning views of the ocean. Two bedrooms are inside the main house, one on each level. Both these bedrooms have sliding doors opening onto the communal balconies or decks overlooking the ocean. The third bedroom is facing the inner courtyard of the house and is located on a mezzanine-level between the street level front door and the main house. The fourth bedroom is situated above the garage and is accessed via a staircase from outside the street level front door. Once again, this bedroom offers magnificent views of the ocean and a little bit of privacy from the rest of the occupants in the main house.
Kitchen, laundry and cleaning facilities
The accommodation is provided on a self-catering basis, and the kitchen, with its stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer provides the ideal environment for large-scale cooking.
A washing machine and a tumble dryer is provided in the kitchen should you need to do any laundry. Laundry lines are available just outside the kitchen.
There is an optional cleaning service available at additional cost, which will ensure you can relax and make the most of your holiday.
